Official Neckline Slimmer Site
I'll be the first to admit the Neckline Slimmer looks a bit silly in action, but I think the process seems quite logical. Paul Younane, the inventor of the Neckline Slimmer, is a qualified Physiotherapist and Physical Education teacher with over 20 years experience in musculo-skeletal treatment and exercise rehabilitation. He has stated:
"It's a physiological fact...your neck muscles are just like every other muscle in your body. They respond to resistance exercises in exactly the same way. If you exercise your neck, chin and jaw muscles they will firm and lift, if you don't they will weaken and sag..just like any other muscle, whether its your butt, thighs or abs. But you need to stick with the exercises for 6 to 8 weeks to get the best results. All the ladies I used in the before and after shots are local mums in my home town...their results are genuine and living proof that the Neckline Slimmer works."
If you have tried the Neckline Slimmer, leave a comment and let us know how it worked out for you. Once I receive mine, I'll be able to evaluate it and let you know my findings.
I have Sorted through the comments and you can now browse through the different topics quicker by using the Quick Search at the top right.
It says right on the sight that the product has 7.95 shipping and they include the free cream that has it's own 7.95 shipping. It's not complicated.
ReplyDeleteI've read that it takes 7 to 8 weeks to reach full effect. I haven't seen this on the market very long...so I will wait another month, check the internet and see if there are more comments that don't involve double shipping, poster impostor accusations, etc.
ReplyDeleteBottom line is, I would like to know if it works. Real photos and comments from real people with the pros and cons of the device.
If it works well, then it was well worth the $36 bucks, right? Sure beats plastic surgery! A hell of a lot less downtime!
Oh please- not everything is a conspiracy theory ya idiots. Buying the domain name is called "thinking ahead"- I pay 10$ a year for the my domain, its not an expensive thing and who knows what might come of it? Given that, if Mel works for the comapny why would she/he tell people where to get it cheaper-and for the love of money Sara- why wouldn't the same post be in places where the product is mentioned or discussed- have you NEVER used the "cut and paste" application? Is Mel supposed to sit and think up new wording everytime?- what would the point of that be? I don't have the product so I can't say if it works or not (as many of the brain trusts here have done) but surprise- believe it or not there have been many, many inventions created that actually produced RESULTS *gasp* so, until everyone knows more why don't we file your comments in with "fake moon landing" and "Stephen King killed Lennon".
ReplyDeleteI have to agree Rie. It did not look like a fake post to me. She did not have anything good to say about the cream and wished it hadn't come with her order. I appreciate her post as I was looking for results of the product not shipping info (which I had already noticed on the site and every company does that). I order Sheer Cover and love the product but I do have to watch for the add ons and the shipping there is outrageous. Bottom line...this product may work...I hope it does...I will but one for all my family members even with the high cost of shipping.
ReplyDeleteAnyone going to actually post a review on the product itself? Please do.
ReplyDeleteI read you could get the same results with a five inch diameter squishy ball. I'm trying that first.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely going to order this product. I know muscle resistence on your neck does work, as I have a gadget my chiropractor sold me but it is not as specific as this one. I am ordering it today
ReplyDeleteJust read another review site wherein one poster made the statement that we have no muscles in our neck area outside of our trapezius.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how he/she holds their head upright without the use of the very large muscle called the Platysma (see http://theamazingeye.files.wordpress.com/2007/12/muscles_of_facial_expression.jpg) , which wraps over our jaw bone/chin, moves down along the neck, covers our jugular vein/artery, then connects at the upper chest and front shoulder area.
I've been doing a similar exercise using my hands to provide resistance, but will order this product from the site Mel recommends. I've seen marked sharpness returning to my jawline and smoothing under my chin. This muscle has become too strong for isometric (hand) resistance, so I'm moving on to the Neckline Slimmer.
To all the doubters; enjoy your sagging faces. LOL
Mel, NY's comment isn't real. I've seen the EXACT comment posted on youtube videos and other reviews.. I'm desperate enough though that i want to give it a try anyway, i'm very thin but i have a double chin, id like to see it gone.
ReplyDeletePhysiologically speaking, the theory behind this device is sound (I am an exercise physiologist as well). It appears to target the muscles at the front and side of the neck, which, in theory, if exposed to resistance exercise, would result in this muscle group tightening over time. However, like any exercise, persistence over time is necessary--the results become noticeable gradually, over time, with continued use. It's also a plus that the device offers differing levels of intensity. PEACE-OUT!
ReplyDeleteThe internet is a wonderful way to share consumer information and perfect for discussing the issue of fraud. I commend the person who started this chat. After weeding out some of the ignorant comments I have concluded that you could receive the same benefits from resistence training with a nerf ball under your chin for say 5 to 10 minutes a day. Once again, I think it's woderful that you have choosen to investigate this product's claims first! SMART!!!
ReplyDeleteATTENTION PEOPLE: DOES THIS PRODUCT WORK?
ReplyDeleteYES OR NO?
yall are cracking me up.
ReplyDeletein response to Hester. . . LMAO.
ReplyDeleteYou guys crack me up. If you want to try this product, rock it out. If you don't, then shut the f*ck up. Why do you CARE if you aren't spending the money on it? What point is there in making fun of people who are interested in trying something? Everyone is so damn suspicious - OOOH MY! The Neckline Slimmer Bureau is behind every door! It's a conspiracy! They actually want us to have FATTER heads! AHHHH!
ReplyDeleteOh and for those geniuses who have determined that only diet and exercise can rid you of a double chin, think twice. 1) You're probably THIN and 2) It's not true. It's simple science, it works whether you buy this product or as another poster mentioned, use a squishy ball. Reistance. That's it.
So for those who are skinny and think all overweight people are responsible for the problems in the world, go ride off on an equally skinny horse and eat yourself silly. As for those who are overweight, try to stay healthy and maybe this product will make a difference in your self-esteem. Or (and imagine this!) if you happen to be an avergage sized person who just also happens to have a full face, this may be the solution.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_chin
ReplyDelete"Double chins may be reduced in obese and overweight people by losing weight, but complete removal typically requires surgery"
Here i go again... i'm 102 pounds and have a damn double chin, so it's not about losing weight, that's why i'm interested in knowing real results. has anyone tried it and give us a comment about it?
ReplyDeleteAll we want is a freakin' review of this product. If you haven't tried it, stop the negativity.
ReplyDeleteFor all you people who would like a serious response to this product....I've been using this product for about 2 weeks...2 mins a day...I am thin and only have a slightly sagging skin...can't say it's working miracles after such a short time, and I wouldn't expect it to, but I am seeing slight improvement and am going to continue using it. Honestly, I can't see this giving those with a lot of excess skin and fat dramatic results and think surgery is probably the best if not only way to get rid of it otherwise for $20 definitely worth a try.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the funniest posts i have read!! I am not buying this product, going to try the nerf ball! its all about resistance!
ReplyDeleteJust to add my 2 cents... I got good results with a "lean it anywhere" cat scratching pad which I bought in Walmart. BTW, this is no joke. I live in Canada, and the Neckline Slimmer is not yet available here. But I liked the idea and got a substitute that works for me.
ReplyDeleteThe scratching pad is a flattened cylinder with an ellipsoidal cros-section, quite elastic, and when pushed down, bounces back. The sides have more bounce (that's the area that I'm using), while the middle is quite rigid. The cover is rough carpet, but can be covered with a piece of cloth before placing your chin on it. It has two solid rubber grips on the side that can be used for holding.
Sit with your back straight and hold the scratching pad with both hands at chin level. I usually hold it slightly inclined (sloping down outwards from the chin) in order to fit the natural chin profile. Push your chin down about 10 times X 3. You can smile while doing this for added benefit. You can also keep your jaw open while pushing down. This way the workout extends to the jaw and and cheekbone.
That's what I noticed so far: after two weeks of practice (once or twice a day) the neck is firmer, the slight jowl sag disappeared and the area under the chin is uplifted and firmer. My cheeks also look firmer, especially the area around my mouth.
So that's to say that resistance training does work. It's not a quick fix and it requires a lot of determination, but it builds your looks from inside, with no risks, no scarring and virtually no money.
PS. Compared with the neckline slimmer, my scratching pad is quite unsophisticated and will not let you adjust the level of resistance, but at least it doesn't squeak. And the cat still gets to use it when I'm not:-)
amorehealthyu...there is absolutely no way that someone can lose 150 lbs and not have sagging skin. I'd like to see some before and after pics on that one!
ReplyDeleteLarry is right on that one. His idea works great as well.
ReplyDeleteYou can also do the reverse exercise that will tighten the jaw muscles. Open the mouth slightly and roll the lower lip over your bottom teeth. Place the index over your chin for resistance. Open and close your jaw slowly, as in a scooping motion, pushing your chin up and up as you scoop. Keep doing this until you feel a slight burn in your jawline. At this point hold while you're counting to 20; the chin should be facing up towards the ceiling. Relax and repeat 3 times.
This gets rid of the jawl sag and should complement the double chin exercise really well.
I am getting married in 6 months, and would obviously love to not have a double chin. I am 5'5 and 105 pounds and have a terrible double chin. I already had lipo to try and fix the problem, and no luck. I've also tried the various excercises on my own with no success. It's worth the $20 to me, but I will probably wait til you can buy it in the store. I just hate how if you only see a pic of my face I look obese, when I am actually quite thin!!!!
ReplyDeleteanon must be a cosmetic surgeon A?
ReplyDeletewell, i like be simple for all of you guys there is a little gap what will work doing those kind of face exercise and my conclusion is that you can do it without pay a cent just use the tissue holder
ReplyDeleteand you'll see the result maybe sounds silly but just give it a try.....
i've been using a device which make your hand stronger, for those who play guitar. you can buy them at any music store in your town. i feel it working, but i dont see results quite yet. im still interested in buying the neck slimmer to see if it can help me any.
ReplyDeleteWow. Some of you have real issues. I don’t really care if you believe what I am saying or not but it gadget will make a small difference. Doctors and "experts" are forever making broad, sweeping statements that turn out to be WRONG in the long run, like when they proclaimed that “smoking is good for your health”, and “breastfeeding is bad”, oh and “you must have your tonsils removed”. Yeah, they know everything!!! If you strengthen the muscles in a specific region, it can tighten the area and improve appearance. That's why women do pectoral exercises to raise their boobs. That's not spot reducing fat, its tightening the muscle under the fat that raises them. I know its very uncommon in this world, but try to think for yourself and not get swayed by peoples "facts".
ReplyDeleteI think Hester's post is fake, if not her husband is an ass!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, you can rest your chin in the palm of your hand, fingers facing out and push down with your chin while resisting with your palm ... same diff. only free.
Hello Aaron. I too am interested in this product and whether or not it will work. My hubby is a doctor and says the muscles can be strengthened with resistance exercises; but if one has quite a bit of fat there, the results will not be as visible. Adding a sensible diet (I eat in the zone - by Dr. Barry Sears) and cardio exercise (at least times a week - which will burn off excess fat from everywhere on the body) is the key to looking and feeling better. I am going to try using a 4-5 inch ball as an earlier post suggested and I will post my results with photos in two months.
ReplyDeleteCiao for now!
Like PEACE said, this is a product review site. I have fun buying "as seen on tv" products when they hit the stores. This was one that I'd been laughing at/kinda actually considering for a couple months. Its just obnoxious to come online to look at review sites and see people crying about customer service/shipping/cost issues. I've been trying it for a few weeks and am getting results (by the way, I am 5ft 7, 145 lbs... smaller frame, but have a double chin no matter what the scale says). The visible changes that have happened are not miraculous, but even the feeling of tightness under there makes me feel a lot better about how I look. Honestly, I'll admit that that may be half of the problem here-- self esteem. At the end of the day, it may sound stupid that people are looking to a piece of plastic and a metal spring to make themselves feel better... but there are far more dangerous and destructive ways that people go about gaining self esteem. If this does the trick for people, GO FOR IT :) ----- It does squeak from time to time but its really not that bad.
ReplyDeleteTesting to see if I can really post a comment and these aren't all just fake ads...
ReplyDeleteI bought my Neck Slimmer and it came with a handy zip pouch, 3 tension coils and instruction. There are 2 different exercises you can do, one is for the neck the other for the jawline and cheek area. I do 3 reps of 10 for each area 3 times a day. I noticed after the 3rd day I was no longer having problems with teeth clenching which I usually have regularly not only at night but also throughout the day. This beneficial effect is immeasurable to me as the clenching caused headaches, stiff neck and stiffness and pain in my face. I can feel the muscles working so I have complete faith that it will perform as advertised though I'm sure that to what degree will differ amongst each person. The 1st few days you will notice some bruise like pain under your chin, this will go away after some time. If you still find it bothersome just put a cotton ball or 2 between your chin and the Slimmer. I have read many comments on this product and many of those have asked and requested that the company will come out with additional coils which are even tighter and more challenging and now that I've tried it I see what they mean so PY if you are reading this please consider marketing additional tighter coils, I'll be the 1st in line at the shop :) I hope my comments were helpful.I normally don't buy products like these online, but if they come out with more products like the neckline slimmer - I'll be first in line!
ReplyDeleteDoes the darn thing work already ??? Lets cut to the chase!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I just ordered this thing and the reason I believe it will work is because I've seen all the muscle men and women and NOT ONE OF THEM has a double chin. I came to the conclusion that it was because of all the straining they do while lifting and doing crunches and stuff that makes them really USE those neck muscles and that's why they all have beautiful chin lines. So this product makes total sense to me. Now can't wait to get it! And I'll find somewhere to buy coils that are stronger...maybe something from some mechanic's workbench. lol
ReplyDeleteI remember thinking all those people who seriously work out with weights and do crunches, etc., etc. all have such great chin lines. And eventually it occurred to me that it was because they are actually putting their neck muscles to use ALL THE TIME when they work out. So I bought one of these because it's the same idea without having to lift weights like it was a profession! lol And if I need a stronger coil...well, there's always a repair guy or mechanic somewhere who has coils sitting around...no reason I can't try them too. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI just got this thing last night and did the prescribed exercizes. Judging from the soreness in my neck today I believe the thing DID give my neck muscles a good workout. The key, it seems, is to HOLD each repetition at maximum compression for two seconds (just like it says in the instructiosn) to get the desired result.
ReplyDeleteSince I haven't had the device long enough to make a difference to my double chin, I'll keep at this diligently for a couple of months and come back and share my results. The potential for improvement is definitely there, IMHO :)
Can guys use this too
ReplyDeleteI'm concerned because I have a silicone chin implant that's 15 years old. I got it when I was 30 years old because I was a very in shape (not professional) weight lifter. I still had a double chin BECAUSE I have an overbite. Even now, feeling my throat, I don't have fat there... but I do have actual throat there, nodes etc. I cannot see how this would work because what I really need is a lower/longer jaw. However, I will buy it because it's not that expensive and not that much trouble to do the exercise. If I get results great, if I don't, oh well.
ReplyDeleteGood luck out there. :)
My only concern with this product and exercise technique is the effect it will have on my neck, I already have bad neck issuses, wouldn't the stress on my neck make it hurt even worse?
ReplyDeleteI just took delivery of my neckline slimmer and did my first set of exercises.
ReplyDeleteI am 62, so if this works for me it should work for anyone.
Will keep you posted.
this product works but DONT ORDER FROM THEIR WEBSITE. ITS A SCAM! They over charge you and if u try to cancel the order they say its cancelled and u still get charged. This product is great! but go to wal greens
ReplyDeleteI have now been using the neckline slimmer, for a full 8 wks, and have not seen any noticeable results. I have taken pictures, asked my husband and Mom, and both notice no improvements. I have been using it faithfully, twice a day, sometimes more, all the reps. I am 51, 5'6, and 135 lbs. Sorry but the results were none for me.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if this product actually works or not because when ordering the very misleading automated system ordered 2 when I only wanted 1. It also added the $7.95 cream two times that I didn't even want. Immediately calling customer service they tell you to call back first thing in the morning and they can adjust your order; there isn't anything they can do now. When calling back first thing in the morning to adjust order, "what do you know"...the order already went through! At this point I am rufusing the package when it arrives because I am not paying to ship it back. Low and behold they conveniently received it back after the 30 day return period...so then you have to speak to a supervisor who then can process the refund...however you are only "granted" about half of what you were originally charged due to the cream, and the processing fees and the shipping charges! $34.98 refunded of $60 something charged! I will be disputing the charge and will never know if the neckslimmer works or not!
ReplyDeleteThe Neckline Slimer (as in slime) is a total ripoff and cost me over $60 because they sent two and added on face creams and double postage. Nowonder they can sell it for $19.99 when they can get by with fraudulent practices. Where are our laws???? You write to Attorney Generals in New York and Wiscon and until they see a pile of complaints they do nothing. We obviously need MORE government, not less to stop corporate crooks from getting away with robbery. Even so, it would be worth $60 and a lot more if it actually did work, but the only muscles it affects are the ones in the BACK of your neck, not the front which needs it
ReplyDeleteThese are bad guys, folks!

You know you can go to Walgreens & Bed, Bath & Beyond to purchase the same thing. You do not even have to pay for shipping just get in the car & drive there. That is what I am planning to do. I do hope it works, all I can say it surely will do something for anyone who is doing nothing about it.
ReplyDeleteI live in canada and just bought Paul younane neck slimmer 18.95 at wal mart. Ill keep you posted on results first week no pain on second spring first was to easy. im a 37 years old and feel my neck is a bit stonger and not to much change yet. The slimmer does stick once in a while other then that seems to be working. will post in a few weeks again colleen 8) 20 doller is not a bad price hope it works
ReplyDeleteGood grief. Why is everything have to be so freaking confusing. I bought it at Bed Bath and Beyond for $16 with their 20% discount. It makes sense to me that it would tighten your neck but don't expect it to replace a real facelift which I had about 10 years ago. However, then I asked a plastic surgeon and he acted like it was no good for some reason and so I have been afraid to use it; then I saw he had some mixed reviews so I don't trust him and I'm going to just go ahead and try this little gadget and will get back to ya all.
ReplyDeleteWhy send for it, when it's just about in EVERY drugstore in their "as-seen-on-tv" aisle? Same price too (19.99). What if you put a nerf ball under the chin and do the same exercise? Wouldn't it provide the same degree of resistance? Or just a regular inflatable ball of some kind?
ReplyDeleteI bought mine at Staples for 9.99, they actually sell quite a few 'seen it on TV' items all on one rack on an end cap. I used mine for a couple of months for 10 minutes a day, five days a week. I took before, during, and after pictures to see for myself, but to my dismay, I did not see any difference. The chiropractor told me to stop using it as it puts stress on vertabrae due to the resistance which the neck is not normally subject to and causes neck and shoulder pain. I hope this helps.
ReplyDeletethe whole pitch from start to finish is bollocks
ReplyDeleteand that is just the be all and end all.
For those of you who feel this is "bollocks," doesn't work or had difficulty ordering. . .
ReplyDelete1. It's not "bollocks" whatever that may be.
2. It works
3. I ordered one; I received one. I would have preferred to order without the cream but coudln't. . .now that I have the cream. I like it.
As for the muscles it works. I could feel all the muscles of my neck, jawline and my cheeks being worked the very first time I tried it and that was on the least resistance coil. If you are not feeling it, you are not using it correctly.
As someone else on this long thread of comments stated. . .if you don't want to purchase it or use it fine, but do not complain when your jaw remains sagged and you continue with your double chin. . .and don't hate the rest of us who have contoured our faces. .
and Flexaway, which I ordered before I found the Neckline Slimmer -- is painful. . .and if you have a big gag reflex. . .you will gag. Neckline Slimmer is easy to use with little to no discomfort.
Im 20 years old. I have a double chin. I bought the PY neckline slimmer at an "As Seen On TV" store for $20. Came with the little zip up bag. I've been using it for about 6 weeks now, I've got to say I've seen a little improvement in my chin. Looks a little flatter, but nothing too dramatic. Well, what did you expect for $20? I guess its better than what I started out with...
